What’s happening in KZN
We are counting days, as we are approaching the 26th February to host our first tournament for the year at Mount Edgecombe Golf Club. We want to make sure that we have included you for this tournament. Register Now!!! The closing date is Thursday 23rd February (Midnight). Remember this tournament is open to all members and non-members.

Gauteng Buddies
The entry form for Modderfontein Golf Tournament which is taking place on the  04th March is now available on the website. We have extended our closing date to Monday  27th February (Midnight) for your convenience.

SA Kids Team U10 versus Free State U10 Team to play in Bloemfontein on 21st March 2012.
We will be making use of the Modderfontein Tournament on the 4th March 2012 to choose a SA Kids U10 Team to represent SA Kids versus Free State U10 Team on the 21st March 2012. The team will consist of six participants and the competition will take the top five best scores. We continue to apply a fair opportunity to all children in order to present our best SA Kids U10 Team to travel to Bloemfontein in the manner that all children; boys and girls; all those 10 years and younger (including 8 and 9 year olds) will need to participate in the Modderfontein Tournament Trials in order to gain a place in this SA Kids U10 Team. In order to apply fairness once again all 8;9 and 10 year old girls and boys must play as a once off Tournament Challenge off the Boys U10 Tees over 18 holes. Children playing up or down in their age groups in this competition will however forfeit their order of merit points for this Tournament only. As at their next Tournament they will play back in their respective age groups and earn Order of Merit Points accordingly. The committee reserves its right to pick the team on a fair basis of the first six top scores with order of merit taking preference on tied positions. Good luck.

Please notify Xolani when you enter the Modderfontein Tournament on the 4th March 2012 that you wish to partake in the Tournament in order to be chosen for the SA Kids U10 Team to represent SA Kids versus Free State U10 Team on the 21st March 2012 and that you understand that the Tournament will be over 18 holes.

Increase in age limit for SA kids
As previously communicated, we are delighted to advise all our members that we now allow children (or rather teenagers), up to the age of 14 years, to be members of our organisation and compete in all our tournaments. The new age groups will be Boys 13 – 14 and Girls 13 – 14. The boys will be playing off the mens tee boxes and the girls off the ladies tee boxes. In order to encourage these teenagers to make their own decisions regarding tournament golf, no parent caddies will be allowed. We will allow club caddies, however, but no caddies on the greens whatsoever. As with all our age groups we encourage all children to compete, from beginners to advanced players, irrespective of their golfing ability. So all you teenagers, come and enjoy our SA Kids Golf tournaments, and especially the fantastic trophies and prizes.

Annual Subscription
The annual subscription for existing members is due already. If the payment is not made, the player will not be allowed to participate at any tournament this year.

Website E COMMERCE
We are pleased to announce that our PayFast e-commerce is up and running on our website for the payment of Membership and Annual Subscriptions only. The use of the e-commerce will ensure a streamlined process of payment and the tracking of your payments.

You will be required to fill out a form on the site the first time you make a payment using PayFast. You will only ever need to fill this out once, thereafter PayFast will remember your account. This electronic form will take the place of the previous membership / information form. By completing the form electronically you will ensure that our database is fully up to date. Please assist us in this process as it will be to the benefit to all concerned.
